[Mac OS X] Currently non-functioning key commands for DMT9.

Delek,

I've decided to go through all the documented key commands for DefleMask and see which one are mapped and which ones are not mapped.  You did a great job spending the time and effort porting over your tracker to Mac OS X, but without the keys being properly mapped it is even more awkward to use and almost impossible to work with at the moment.

With respect, these are my findings so that you may remedy the issue.  I am using a MacBook with its proprietary keys.

Pattern Controls:

Esc (Exit) - NON-FUNCTIONAL
Cmd+Enter (Global Play) - WORKS as intended!  (However, it makes an OS alert noise and could contaminate a potential recording.)
F1 (Pattern/Instrument Switch) - NON-FUNCTIONAL  (Dims OS display brightness.)
Cmd+(+/-) (Step Increment/Decrement) - NON-FUNCTIONAL
Cmd+(F1/F2) (Note Increment/Decrement) - NON-FUNCTIONAL
/ or * (on Numpad) (Octave Increment/Decrement) - KEYS DO NOT EXIST - NOT MAPPED
Cmd+I (Interpolate Volumes) - WORKS AS Ctrl+I (Does not follow key format standards.)

Pattern Matrix Controls:

Middle-Click (Pattern Equal to Latest) - NO MIDDLE-CLICK EXISTS and Ctrl+Whatever+Click does NOT work.
Right-Click (Decrement Pattern Value) - NO RIGHT-CLICK EXISTS and Ctrl+Click does NOT work.

Instrument Editor Controls:

Shift+Cmd+(C/V) (Copy/Paste Instrument) - NON-FUNCTIONAL
Alt+(Left/Right) (Move Among Instruments) - NON-FUNCTIONAL

Alternate key mappings for PC to MacBook:

Fn+Left/Right = Home/End
Fn+Up/Down = PageUp/PageDown
Fn+Delete = Delete
Fn+Enter = Insert (NON-FUNCTIONAL)

===============

As an additional note, it appears that currently all Cmd+ key commands make an OS alert noise at the moment.

Hope this helps.

Esc non functional?, wtf, this Apple guys are really awesome. I will need a mac to continue improving the interface, because in the VM everything works right.

Try one of these.  Do you have Bluetooth and does Bluetooth work in your VM?  This is the exact same keyboard as most Mac laptops.

The Linux version (using 9f to test this) also has problems in this area:

  • Ctrl + F(1-12): These are Xfce shortcuts for switching workspaces and are permanently hooked when logged in.
  • The keys for increasing or decreasing the input octave seem to have no effect, regardless of what I set this option to. Turns out the 'Ctrl + ' part in DefleMask was lying; pressing the mapped keys without pressing control works fine.

These problems may vary by distribution and desktop environment. I'm using Fedora 20 Xfce Edition.
