Deflemask v0.12.0 Doesn't Work on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial
« on: March 14, 2017, 05:20:19 AM »
Hi everyone
I've used some Linux Distributions in which Deflemask worked just fine, like Linux Mint 17 (Based on Ubuntu 14.04, ran the executable without problems) and Manjaro XFCE (Installed from AUR, ran without issues). Now I'm using Xubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) but Deflemask v.0.12.0 executable file doesn't seem to work.

Is there something I have to install first? Does anybody else have this issue?

Thanks in advance  :'(

I know this is late, but try running "ldd /path/to/executable" to see if you're missing some library dependencies of some sort.

I can confirm that. Ubuntu 16.04, 64bit. segfaults.

No ldd issue, I have made a quick debian package to my needs, maybe someone can figure out what's the cause of the segfault with it.

http://openartist.org/debian/xenial/deflemask_0.12.0-1_i386.deb

packages used (all i386)
libx11-6, libxext6, libgl1-mesa-glx, libglu1-mesa, libsdl1.2debian, libasound2, libgtk2.0-0, libstdc++6, libc6, libgcc1, libglib2.0-0, libglib2.0-0

gdb output, w.o. debugging symbols maybe not too useful:

Starting program: /opt/deflemask/DefleMask

Seems to be a permissions issue while triying to write some files (because the call to frwite is segfaulting)

right, my fault!
changing permissions fixed it.
