This keyboard is actually pretty cool. It has sounds that use different pulse widths, envelopes, and effects. It also has some cool rhythms, a polyphonic sequencer, and five badass demo songs.

I recently bought a pss-100, and also two pss-80s, (same chip). The pss-100 does sound pretty nice, will probably sound amazing once hooked up to real speakers. The pss-80/100 have the YM3427 sound chip, this is not the same as the YM2163, poly: 6 vs 4, interface: serial vs parallel, output: single vs per channel. I have not idea if they are similar inside though.

At some point soon I intend to do some research on the YM3427, its an interesting and strange sound chip.
