Hoot Player Problems
« on: August 26, 2016, 06:51:29 pm »
Hoot is a Japanese PC music chip emulator. I use it a lot to listen and study the FM ways of music. I recently downloaded a TON of packs from this site. After playing some of the files, I have noticed that some of them don't play any music while some from the same system do and other times it flat out crashes the program for no apparent reason. I don't think there really is a way to fix this (but if there is please let me know) so I want to go through and delete the ones that don't play or crash the player. The problem is that the names for the files are not so plain in site. Is there a way to make Hoot show what the file names are so I can make it easier for me to find and delete the certain files?

Also, is there a way to make Hoot sort by system rather than the game company? I know it can do it because it happened once for me but now I can't get it to go back.

As far as I know, there's no way of doing that. You'd be best off starting a fresh HOOT install and adding new games one by one.
