Misc. tools for particular needs
« on: May 04, 2016, 03:05:45 AM »
As I was making a cover of one of the incredibly loud songs from Maldita Castilla, I at first lowered all the instruments by subtracting 10 to all carrier TL's of all instruments; but today I realised that that wouldn't do the job, since the instruments would end up having proportionally different levels.

So today, while I should have been studying for tomorrow's algebra midterm :v I came up with this little calculator thing to give me the proportional (percentage based) values I need to assign.

Since I had more than one instrument (or carrier operator) set at straight up 0, I started by lowering it by an "x" amount (say, from 0 to 12). And what this calculator thing does, is give me back what percentage does that newly lowered TL represent regarding the original one, so I can use that percentage to calculate the TL levels of other operators different from 0.

I hope you find it useful, and in the future I might end up adding more miscellaneous tools. The real fun will begin when I learn how to handle external files and file types. ;w;
