POKEY + OPL3 support
« on: June 24, 2017, 08:59:21 AM »
Hello.

I think its time to support Atari 800 platform too. Atari 800 was and is popular in US/GERMANY/POLAND/SLOVAKIA/CZECH/CHILE...
Its cute platform based on 6502 similar to C64. There is POKEY soundchip sounding like Texas Instruments SN76489 PSG on steroids.
Standard for today is to have 2x POKEY for stereo music (left and right) - 4channels+4channels.
But there is SONICQUAD and SONICOCTA soundcard under development (4x POKEY - 16 channels 8x POKEY - 32channels)
And there is also new OPL3 cartridge http://atariage.com/forums/topic/267000-ymari-opl3-cartridge-by-tori-yogi/

Here is Polish website translated to English is little description of OPL3 YMari.

Atari Pokey:

OPL3:

And also there is standard for 8bit DAC COVOX for samples:

So all ATARI musicians please support POKEY + COVOX + OPL3 here!
And another 6502 fans too! And OPL3 synth fans too!

Hello friends
I say i'm sorry if I create off-topic
But I not long ago had to locate a detailed post about the best ways to create essays relating to your university.
I just  found a superb article. Possibly someone else will require this facts.
http://blinkbrmrm43.blogspot.com/2017/07/education-can-act-as-powerful-tool-for.html

Incidentally, though I was in need of this article, I learned that a lot of people obtain residence performs, compositions, papers and essays. I do not understand how protected it is actually and what high-quality might be obtained inside the end. Who faced this concern, create, you create or order? Have been you caught by a sensei for this?

We don't need OPL3 support, AdLib Tracker II and other trackers already exist. Same with POKEY. The chips that are currently in DM should be of the best quality before any more are added anyways.

Honestly, if POKEY support were to be added, i'd rather have POKEY+TIA simultaneously than OPL3... that way, it could track maxed out Atari 7800 music... plus, I'm fairly certain there are no trackers that support POKEYy and TIA at the same time

In all honesty, AdLib Tracker II confuses me a lot. I have learned how to navigate around the program, and have tried to make a song, but gave up soon after due to how one navigates the program. I have tried looking for trackers that make music for the OPL3, but they all seem to require DOS, and I have no interest in using DOSBox just to use them.

I don't think either of those are valid reasons to vouch for DefleMask supporting OPL3 when the other chips still need work. The interface isn't that hard to get used to, and DOSBox is easy to setup.

If you ever contain the equivalent problem, work with the most efficient paper creating services right this moment below at | An extremely lower priced essay composing company shouldn't be probable to generally be with the maximum level of quality.
