Post by: 90hell on January 09, 2014, 06:46:27 pm
Hi!

I am having trouble running the program.
I get the error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file"
I have tried to run it as admin and putting the file in program x86 folder with same result.

Please help me i want to make music!

Please post a screenshot of the error, and a image of where you extracted DefleMask.

It says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"

On the DefleMask manual you can find the next information:
"Attention: Current DefleMask character support is standard ASCII only."

http://www.deflemask.com/manual.pdf

It is highly probable that the absolute path to DefleMask has non standard ASCII characters somewhere and then the program can't find the way to the files. Try to put DefleMask on a folder in the root disk letter. It is 100% a cause of name and characters encoding.

If that don't help, then you could read this Microsoft entry:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2669244
