You can't make DefleMask for Android a pay app even if you wanted to now unless you wanted to move. :-X

So, Delek, is the app off? (I would pay for it if it were below $6...)

Hey, you weren't supposed to tell him that!!!

It's not the end of the world though, you could probably still code iOS and Android versions. Have certain versions be paid, and the other ones not paid, but that wouldn't be bad, because the more platforms it's available for, the more "known" DefleMask will be made to the world, there's a lot of people that would like to have it on their pc, and say iPhone or Galaxy III at the same time. DefleMask is your baby though, and it's high quality work, it deserves to be treated like such, people could pay for it.

But even if that weren't enough to make it seem like a move worth pursuing... there's always the option of setting up donations. Or you could even distribute a paid version from this website somehow. Have a demo version on the Google market, and point all those who want the full version to this website and offer it for a reasonable price. There's always a work-around.

This is one of those things that I would refuse to allow stopping me from meeting my goals. Either way, I think people really need to chime in here. Artists and developers aren't going to bring you the content you want, if you don't let them know how bad you want it.

It truly is a shame that Deflemask isn't available on smartphones and tablets... luckily I at least have a laptop. But the idea of being able to sneak back into the back room in the Walmart deli where I work and work on a quick section of chip music when no one is around would so be worth the money.

Maybe I could give a humble idea to motivate you to create DM for Android.

My GUI project attached. I think would be good to enable the classic, full pattern editor on tablets, but on phones... I think that the way shown by me would not be bad.

As of inability to push Defle to Play Store... I think the paypal option will be alright. For these without paypal, I suggest the demo version with 2 fully featured systems inside, playback of other systems and an ad.

This little project is made for your free use.

I already ported all the playback engine of DefleMask and find a JAVA YM2612/SN76489 emulation. So GENESIS is working (without UI of course, only sound).
It is for a game that I'm developing.

I was really thinking to release a pure Android version of DefleMask, but the real issue here is to find soundchips emulators done in Java for SID, PC-Engine, Game Boy, NES, YM2151. And the GUI also is a challenge, thanks for your work, if someon could done a Android project with all the GUI done by atomiswave I will interface it with Genesis support for DefleMask (the only one that works so far) and release a pre-pre-pre-alpha-beta.

Thanks for considering my GUI as worthy.
Regarding the emulators source, I used emulators by yongzh named *oid (Nesoid, Gensoid, Snesoid etc.). Now they're apparently open source and available on F-Droid. I see even the source tarballs, so... you could try these.
The C64 is emulated with Mobile C64/JME C64 apps. The latter is on sourceforge, but the former was pulled off from fdroid... maybe you can do something with JME C64.

Can't you run native code on Droid nowadays? I think you can, even w/out root...

Anyway, since Android is open, you could just as well sell apk via paypal from the site. People would just sideload the thing and you'd probably wouldn't make much outside sales anyway, probably only people who know about Deflemask would buy it. Just get info out on demoscene sites that there is droid version and you're selling it from your site because google is stupid and don't want money and you're all set.

The idea will never be dead because Defle is cross platform since day zero.  I already have the playback engine working on Android, I need only to redo the interface but it requires a HUGE amount of work.
