Dumb Question
« on: July 05, 2014, 09:01:09 pm »
Just downloaded DefleMask (for Mac), and I can't seem to figure out the key/mouse command to add notes in the sequencer. I do know music theory and everything, it's the just the controls I can't seem to grasp. Could someone give me an uber-beginner's explanation?

Everything is explained in "Controls" page in the manual.

Could you tell me the key command you're using at this point in the first tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGCsrzaIFDE#t=38 to insert the series of C notes? I'm sorry. The "Controls" manual seems to be written for Windows, and I can't figure out the OSX analogue for inserting notes. Thank you again.

The Manual is an PDF file, so it is obviously compatible with any OS. It is bundled with DefleMask, also it is here: http://www.deflemask.com/manual.pdf

No, I saw that. I'm talking about the key commands listed in the manual, not the manual itself. CTRL, for example, does not have the same function on a Mac as it does on a PC. What I'm asking is how to translate the tones on the keyboard you posted above into tones in the sequencer.

By pressing "Q" you will get a C note, obviously you have to turn on the "Record Mode", by pressing space-bar or clicking on the checkbox. Please read the manual for more information.
