Plus, trackers such as OpenMPT can already do all of those, with a huge polyphony in comparison.
Yeah, and I do occasionally use OpenMPT for my sampled music needs... But it SUUUUUUUUUUCKS!
I mean, seriously, I can only use 1 effect per channel, and I have to repeat the effect on every row that I want it to be active for, and its VST support is rubbish, only effect VSTs work properly, instrument VSTs can't be affected by the tracker's effect column, and I don't even know if the volume column affects it at all...

I wish Deflemask would include a sampler so that I wouldn't have to use OpenMPT anymore... I know there are other trackers that can also do sampled music, but from my experience Deflemask is infinitely better than all of them, it's much more user-friendly and efficient in comparison... (Although it used to be even more efficient than it currently is... Bloody windows open/save file window...)

But eh, I can wait... I think fixing the PC engine's inaccuracies and implementing a better instrument editor and maybe even a better ROM export (Huzak-based) is at a higher priority at the moment... (Seriously Delek, you gotta work with elmer on this!)

I'm always going to be critical of Deflemask including the NES because it's literally pointless in its current state. It doesn't offer anything Famitracker can't already do, and it's for a similar reason that I think OPL3 shouldn't be added: good software already exists. Famitracker, in particular 0CC-Famitracker, supports just about everything and if it were abandoned now, it's in more than an acceptable state. Same thing with AdLib Tracker.
Agreed! I'm not gonna say that Delek should drop NES from the tracker, heck I'd say he should keep it so long as somebody is using it, but if he did drop it I sure as hell wouldn't miss it, and I'm pretty sure most other people wouldn't... As I've once said before, anybody who's serious about making NES music is using Famitracker... Yeah, I know a couple of folks here do use NES, and that's fine, but let's be honest, you're in the minority...

You do realize there's only an extremely small amount of trackers that has more than one effect row at the same time right? Besides, if you don't like how MPT does it's sample stuff and its sample editor, you don't like how it would fit in Deflemask either, given it's sorta clunky UI.
Sorry to crush your hopes, but if SPC700 would to be implemented, it would never be functional in export. Reason? Look at SID; no samples, just plain PSG and songs barely are within 64kb of export. SPC700; 64kb of ARAM, a portion of it taken by samples, echo buffer, driver data and -- you guessed it: sequence data. Given how everything that exports in Deflemask is based on register dump logs, even rom exporters, this would NEVER export unless your samples are extremely small. Besides, the SPC700's processor is too slow to even implement register dump log playback drivers for.
It would merely be a proof of concept mode in the software, which is entirely possible, but don't think this kind of export works for SPC700. As I stated; if SID export is total junk, SPC700 would be total garbage.

HES export (and even the VGMs.....) are a joke. Noise volume is still not fixed (it's literally just fucking adjusting it in the tracker itself..), 0Axx command doesn't work properly in export, volume envelopes not behaving properly when combing with the volume column, there's a click noise from playing samples in a channel that has been muted -- I could go on.
At this point I'm just analyzing 0CC-FamiTrackers code to implement HuC6280 in it instead of 2A03 and actively develop a tracker purely for TurboGrafx. Getting rom export to work will be tedious, given that I must write my own driver (or if someone were to assist or even do that on their own like Elmer, that would be fantastic). Given wavetable support is better in 0CC-FamiTracker and all the other commands, arpschemes, etc that are implemented perfectly, would be a nice addition to get the most out of the system.

The orch hit-like instrument should be quieter and the guitar maybe a bit louder I think and I'm not sure about the vibrato on the former (maybe it sounds better with less panning)? If you can make the guitar attack a bit punchier that would also help. Other than that I think it's pretty good!

Working on a PC-Engine cover of Star Fox - Corneria, but only using wavetables and wave envelopes from PCE Afterburner II... not quite there yet, but I'm still tweaking stuff.  It's still WIP so comments, critiques and suggestions welcome on this one.

I would agree on the FX, macros, etc.. Deflemask has systems that dedicated trackers already cover, such as VGM Music Maker (Genesis) and Famitracker (NES). Famitracker for example has what Deflemask does not have, particularly additional chips such as the Namco 163 and the Konami VRC6 and VRC7.

I'm always going to be critical of Deflemask including the NES because it's literally pointless in its current state. It doesn't offer anything Famitracker can't already do, and it's for a similar reason that I think OPL3 shouldn't be added: good software already exists. VGMMM is a different thing entirely; that program is unfinished and never going to be picked up again, unless something miraculously happens. Deflemask having Mega Drive support is a good thing because it means that we have a program that's being actively developed with support for the system in mind, and as far as I'm aware, it's the only one that's still going.

Very nice, thanks. It will still be great if you can manage to fix bugs 1 and 2.

Thanks for the modules! I'm busy but working in DefleMask too. The point 1 and 2 are being addressed in the develop version of the tracker. Bug 3 is something happening for some time now and I can't seems to find where the bug is so far but I'm aware of it.
Bug 4 is new for me, will check this out.
