I will include with the release of Defle v0.12.0 a better set of default samples pack. I need you to share max 4 samples per user, so post your 4 favorites from your personal samples library.
PS: The .wav files could have been ripped from actual games.

Bass Drum
Bass Drum + Ride
Bass Drum (low passed)
Snare Drum

All of these are mine. The bass drum was made with a sine wave with a pitch envelope on it and layered some drum machine percussion on top of it for the attack.

The snare drum is a 909 snare from drumazon that I processed myself with EQ, saturation and multi-band compression.
To understand FM, I think of each OP as an OSC that can also be a LFO.

Here's a rip of Sonic 2's samples. Ripped directly from the sound engine, so it doesn't have any Z80 interrupts muting random parts of the samples every so often like it would in game.
Just remember though, since Deflemask doesn't have any driver-like capabilities, you're going to have to pitch the Tom, and others manually, as needed.

There are a bit more than just 4 samples, but I'll put them here anyway. If I must choose 4 from these, I would use the Kick, Snare, Tom, and Clap.

Here's some samples I got from the drum kits in GarageBand.
