[SOLVED] Is there an OPM to SYSEX converter?
« on: August 05, 2016, 06:49:15 am »
I finally found a good, low cpu, DX7 VST. I have a bunch of SYSEX presets for it but I would love to import some YM2151 and YM2612 OPMs from Street Fighter II and Lagoon for the X68000. (Yes, I know the DX7 uses 6 ops, but if I just use 4 ops it can work just fine.) I found DXconvert but it didn't work. I get an error that says missing tkinder. Another problem is I have no idea how to use Python. Why not use VOMP? The VOMP plugin crashes in Fruity Loops 11 on my computer. Is there one either a GUI or a exe command line that can do this?

With the help of 5ALAZAR and TheMnk, this issue is solved. Apparently the DXconvert I was using had a bug. All this time I thought the problems were just happening on my end. TheMnk contacted the developer and reported this issue. Now the current version as of this post is 2.3.3.

If you would like to learn how to rip and convert patches, go here.
