Official Wavetable Thread
« on: January 29, 2016, 11:30:09 pm »
Hello everybody! I figured I'd make some kind of official wavetable thread because I haven't seen much attention for them on the forum. I have seen a few threads about wavetables before, but they haven't gotten consistent attention as far as I know. So if you enjoy the sounds of the Game Boy, PC Engine or other wave-based systems then this will be right up your alley!
To get the train rolling, I'll be putting up the waveforms from the arcade game Haunted Castle, which used Konami's SCC chip. Granted, I did have to compress the waves from 8-bit to 5-bit, but I don't think it sacrifices too much of the quality. Enjoy!

Well after about a half hour of manually typing MML macros in to DefleMask, I've finally done it. They are some waveforms that I've converted from Famitracker, and they're 4 bit, but they work with the PC Engine too.

Hey, there! Been working on this for a while! Here are the waveforms for every PC Engine Falcom game! Surprisingly enough, despite there being 90 tracks in the first Legend of Xanadu game, it actually didn't have as many unique waveforms as I thought there would be. I literally ripped the entire soundtrack in less than a day.  ::)

Here's another pack of waveforms done by me. This time I recreated all of the 7 waveforms found in the Casio VL Tone VL-1.
Also, just like my other pack of waveforms, they're 4 bit, but you can also lode them in the PC Engine.

Looks like this thread was getting pushed back quite a bit, so I think an update should fix that.
Here's all the waveforms used in Shin Megami Tensei and Magical Chase, which I lumped together since Hitoshi Sakimoto worked on both, and neither game uses every waveform in this collection.
