Good news! I finally fixed all these problems I was having with Hoot! I can play arcade songs neverendingly, and all the games I was having trouble with previously work now. I can even view the titles of all the songs in Japanese instead of scrambled code. I think I used the XML list from the arcade index website and the configuration files from SNESMusic.org/hoot.

Alright. So now that I've spent something like 10 posts trying to get this issue resolved, let me get things going the way they were before with all the instruments used in the arcade version of Space Harrier.

Another instrument pack! This time it's from the Neo Geo game Magician Lord. Use as you please!
PS: I noticed that some of the instruments used in this game were also used in Splatterhouse 2, and others were used in Falcom games. No real reason to mention this. I just thought it was weird.

As of January 7, 2016, this post contains all instruments from C-Lab's games, Rusty and Totsugeki Mix. Previously, it only contained Rusty instruments, but since I have another update I need to make to it, I might as well edit the whole post.
Also, there are several 2-operator instruments in this pack, because C-Lab's games used a trick on the sound chip to control the operators independently of each other, so they can play multiple instruments on the 3rd channel. In the case of Totsugeki Mix for example, some songs feature the bassline and the kick drum on the same channel, or a crystal instrument echoing. This feature may come to DefleMask in the future, but I'm not sure yet. Enjoy anyway!

Just updated my Neo Geo Jingle with those new patches, and yeah... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! :)

My FM patching skills have leveled up!

Anyway, it sounds like Shin Nihon Kikaku (SNK) uses a lot of the same FM patches for a whole lot of their music spanning pretty much all of their games, just like Alpha Denshi Kikaku (ADK) does. My wish list is SNK's Video System titles!

So with the YM2151 implemented in the new version of DefleMask, I realized I'm going to have to update the YM2151 instruments I've uploaded to this branch of the forum. I haven't re-ripped the instruments, but I'll update the original posts when I do. So far I've ripped the following instruments from various X68K and Arcade games. Most of the instruments are compatible with the Genesis, but a few that use the YM2151's extra capabilities (DT2, LFO, Noise, etc.) Will not sound the same. Hope you enjoy!

EDIT: Edited the instrument presets upon threatening DefleMask update

A while ago I posted some Wolf Team instruments on a different thread, and now that I've extracted them correctly (using the OPM import instead of copying from VOPM) I've got a bunch of instruments used in various games of theirs on the Genesis and X68K. I left Granada and Dino Land instruments out because they were arranged by Renovation musicians. There's also a lot more games Wolf Team released on the X68K and the NEC PC lineup, but they were more akin to regular Telenet instruments, which was their parent company before partnering with Namco. I'll compile sets of Telenet games at some point, though.

PC-98 Windows 95 had their own OPN patch bank for the 128 instruments in MIDI.  (Percussion was just rhythm mode mappings - no FM drum bank per se.)  I have extracted them and the attached file contains TFI presets.
