Title: Save Me mr Tako
Post by: marco1809 on September 29, 2015, 05:01:24 am
Hello !

My name is Marc-Antoine and I would like to share with you some of the music I made for a game called "Save me Mr Tako", using DefleMask: (

The game is an homage to the GameBoy. It is still in development and so is the music, but for the two years of the project, we decided to release some tracks !
It's my first tracker work ever published and I've started using trackers about a year ago, I try to improve my work and i'll take any advice :).

I attach some of the files.

Many thanks to Delek who made such a great tracker !

Superb quality tunes. A lot of melody passages!
Could I add this tracks to the demo songs?

EDIT: I downloaded the game!, awesome! It would be possible to add DefleMask to the credits?

I'm glad you enjoyed it :).

You can add "The Princess" and/or "Running Through the World" (Poulpe - D5.dmf) to the demo songs, but not "Save me Mr Tako" (Poulpe - D1 (BC).dmf).

For the credit, Deflemask wasn't used yet in the old demo you've played (it was made with "Plogue ChipSound" but it wasn't accurate enough to me), but for the full release, DefleMask will be of course credited :).

I also made a YouTube Video :

I came here a few years ago to present my work-in-progress on "Save Me Mr Tako".

3 Days ago, October the 30th, the game has been released on the eShop of the Nintendo Switch ( and on Steam ( !
The original soundtrack and the sound design of the game were entirely made with DefleMask and I wanted to thank Delek and his team for the wonderfull software they developed. It was a real pleasure to work with it.

Here is a link to the Album release on BandCamp :

I hope you will enjoy my work and any feedback is welcome :)

Is said Deflemask would be credited in the final release, but it isn't and I'm sincerely sorry for that. I would have done it if I could but the credits were managed by the editor of the game and not by the developer and I.
However, I mentioned the software in the bandcamp album credit.

Many thanks once again to Delek, daro_g and DeadFish !
